Botsford’s work runs the gamut from novels to the screen including official MGM novels and short stories for Stargate SG-1, the fan-favorite Star Trek: Next Generation episode, “Rascals,” and the award-winning science fiction web series Epilogue, which she created and served as showrunner. Her recent short story, “Perceptions” (included in the Stargate anthology, “Far Horizons”) received a Scribe Award nomination from the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers. Botsford served as showrunner on the cult favorite animated series, Spiral Zone.

Prior to picking up the pen, Botsford was a producer and Visual FX supervisor for various TV/Film projects such Dusk ’til Dawn, Tank Girl, Nightmare on Elm Street VI, Harts of the West, Terminator 2. She’s produced over 1,000+ hours of animation including fan favorites Inspector Gadget, Heathcliff, MASK, and the animated film Pound Puppies & The Legend of Big Paw.

As a professor and workshop leader, she’s mentored many a screenwriting student on the finer points of storytelling. Botsford’s pursuit of great stories has taken her across the globe from Japan to Africa to Antarctica. If she could save up the $250,000, a seat on board Virgin Galactic would be next.
