Matt Lathrom
Writer | Producer
Matthew Lathrom is a writer, visual effects producer, and designer whose collaborations include HBO, Netflix, Apple, Google, and Disney. His career has spanned a range of fields from web design and development to screenwriting and visual effects.
Matt was a writer and producer on the award-winning web series “Epilogue,” which earned a College Emmy in 2013. As a VFX producer, he led high-profile projects such as AMC’s Brockmire, Shermans Showcase, Netflix’s The Starling, and the HBO series South Side. He’s produced effects for acclaimed artists such as Miley Cyrus, The Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, and Metallica. As an art director, he co-led graphics and visual effects for Apple’s WWDC events in 2022 and 2023, helping to unveil the Apple Vision Pro to the world.
As a lead designer and frontend developer, Matt helped launch the new OReillyAuto.com. Later he founded and currently operates ScriptSlug.com, the most popular screenwriting resource on the web, and plans to use this platform to promote his projects and produce original content for millions of yearly visitors.
