With a rich history spanning over two decades in the global VFX, animation, and gaming industry, Nirmal stands as a pivotal figure.

His journey with animation commenced at the tender age of 11, leading to credits on notable films like the VFX Academy Award winner “Golden Compass,” “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor,” and the action-packed “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” His versatility shines through in both realistic creature animation, as seen in these films, and the more whimsical style of “Alvin and the Chipmunks: 1 & 2.”

During his 7-year tenure as the animation lead at the Academy Award-winning Rhythm and Hues Studios, Nirmal played a crucial role in guiding teams across various feature films, shorts, and commercials. His impact was felt not just aesthetically and technically but also as a mentor to budding animators.

In 2011, he expanded his horizons, relocating to Singapore to contribute to the award-winning “STAR WARS – The Clone Wars” series with LucasFilm Animation. The journey continued to Jakarta, where Nirmal took on the role of animation supervisor for a feature film project with EpicsFx Studios.

Fuelled by an intense passion for storytelling and a vision to create original intellectual properties, Nirmal returned to India. Here, he founded Hobo Interactive, a venture dedicated to producing high-quality animated content, games, and VR experiences.

Currently, Nirmal is deeply immersed in the development of “Bot Rods,” an eagerly anticipated and award-winning game and TV series. Additionally, he serves as the animation director at The Cirqus Studios, contributing his wealth of experience to the dynamic world of animation.
